The results are in! We declare that the SHS Combined Reunion was a success!
We know there were at least 150 attendees, maybe more. Hurricane Ian kept several from traveling, and many more expressed a desire to come but had prior commitments. Although the number of attendees was below our expected estimates, the quality of interaction and mixing of classmates certainly made our efforts worthwhile.
We finished with a revenue of $1,822.50, at a total cost of $2,752.50. Due to extremely generous benefactors, we were able to easily cover the overhead. A check for the amount of the remaining revenue will be sent to the Northeast Ohio Food Bank, and our account closed. A complete ledger of our financial transactions is available, including attendance at the event.
We believe the venue was ideal, especially if there was bad weather. The relaxed atmosphere benefited from the simplicity of the food trucks and cash bar. Although there were more tables than needed, we learned that the set up encouraged moving about and visiting. The Reunion Band performance was appreciated and everyone enjoyed the music. The Committee recommended scheduled informative announcements if there is a future event.

As for future or recurrent events, the Committee agrees to await feedback and interest before deciding whether there is merit to plan a similar event.
